Located in the beautiful Kadriorg district of Tallinn, Mantel ja Korsten restaurant has become a true gem on the Estonian food scene. Our restaurant, which operates in a historic three-hundred-year-old green wooden house that looks like it came straight out of a postcard, offers unforgettable culinary experiences and a great atmosphere for both locals and visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Michelin recognition - why Mantel and Korsten?<\/h4><\/i><\/div>

Mantel ja Korsten belongs to the prestigious Michelin list of recommended restaurants<\/a>, being one of the few Michelin restaurants in Estonia to have received the Bib Gourmand recognition. This prestigious label, next to the Michelin star, is awarded to restaurants that offer an exceptional dining experience with excellent value for money.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2022, Mantel ja Korsten became part of the historic first selection of Estonian Michelin restaurants, when the Michelin Guide Estonia highlighted 31 restaurants. We are proud to be part of a selection that introduces the top achievements of Estonian food culture on the international stage. Michelin-starred restaurants and Bib Gourmand-accredited eateries are highly regarded in the gastronomic world, and the Michelin star in Estonia has become synonymous with quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2023-2024, we have retained our Bib Gourmand recognition, confirming that we continue to offer an exceptional dining experience at a fair price. Our kitchen offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes made with carefully selected local ingredients.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our first ambition was to create a restaurant for the community, where you can enjoy a meal prepared by a top chef as a finale to your workday or as a special treat for your weekend. The people of Kadriorg love us and we love to offer the people here really good food and carefully selected wines from small producers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

A varied menu for every taste<\/h4><\/i><\/div>

The Mantel ja Korstna menu is designed to offer something for every taste. Our experienced chef J\u00fcri Vaink\u00fcla introduces Mediterranean cuisine in a simple Estonian way, showing that it is more nuanced than is commonly thought \u2013 after all, there are many countries with different food cultures along the Mediterranean.<\/span><\/p>\n

The restaurant's menu is truly diverse. In addition to merandi and a variety of pasta dishes, we also offer Iberico secreto, mackerel, and the already famous beef hanger steak. The chefs' creations also include dishes that may push the average restaurant guest a little outside their comfort zone.<\/span><\/p>\n

All those looking for exciting new flavors are welcome, we especially recommend our 5-course tasting menu - here, food artists J\u00fcri and J\u00fcrgen have truly creatively combined food from the restaurant's \u00e0 la carte menu and several new dishes that are not part of the daily menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

The food, carefully selected wines from small producers, increasingly trendy non-alcoholic drinks, attentive service and atmosphere are always maintained by the restaurant staff to such a level that the guest will enjoy every moment they spend in the only house in the region with a mantelpiece. This historic building combines the former life of the nearby Kadriorg Palace, the modern atmosphere of the city center and world-class cuisine.<\/span><\/p>\n
